Pacifica Quartet

PACIFICA QUARTET

Pacifica Quartet plays all over the world -- U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia -- and will be making its debut at Salida Aspen Concerts, playing an all-Beethoven program. The quartet is known as one of the greatest chamber ensembles of the day. It recently recorded Brahms' Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 14, with legendary pianist Menahem Pressler. The Pacifica was quartet-in-residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2009-2012, a position that otherwise was held by the famed Guarneri String Quartet. The Pacifica received the Grammy Award for the Best Chamber Performance of 2009. The quartet is now in residence at Indiana University's prestigious Jacobs School of Music.
